$479.60 in 12 Minutes: One Micro, Five Accounts, and the Discipline to Walk Away

It’s Friday morning, June 6th, and we just wrapped up one of those sessions that reminds you why sticking to the plan matters more than chasing a home run.We made $479.60 this morning trading one micro on each of five TopStep accounts. The trades were done by 8:44 AM. We started at 8:32 AM, just two minutes after the Non-Farm Payroll data dropped at 8:30. Twelve minutes. In and out. No re-entries. No overtrading. Just pure execution.

Always Start with News 🗞️

The first thing I did when I woke up? I checked ForexFactory for scheduled news. You don’t step into a battlefield without knowing what’s about to explode. Today we had both Non-Farm Payroll and unemployment rate reports—prime volatility fuel.

Non-Farm Payroll report beat expectations on June 6, 2025 with 139,000 jobs added📊 NFP data just hit—139,000 jobs added vs. the 126,000 expected. Perfect fuel for a breakout setup.

The Strategy: BOS on Movement 🚀

When you trade price action, you don’t need clutter. I use one line on my Tradingview chart. That’s it. No indicators. No noise. Just time, price, and risk management. I wait for the market to break structure on a 2-minute chart, and if volatility’s present—like it was today—I’m in.

Clean TradingView chart with one line drawn to mark the potential stop-loss level📈 Just one line—no distractions. When price breaks structure, we already know the risk.

What the Numbers Say 🔢

Here’s how it broke down across all five funded accounts:

TopStep leader account showing $96.02 profit and $8,804.14 total balance🎯 Leader account: $96.02 profit locked in. Precision over size—this is how we scale consistency.

TopStep follower account showing $96.52 in realized profit with a balance of $9,026.90🔁 Follower 1: $96.52 profit. Same trade, same strategy—small wins across the board.

TopStep follower account showing $96.52 realized profit and $8,940.64 account balance🔁 Follower 2: $96.52 profit. Precision repeated is profit multiplied.

TopStep follower account showing $94.52 realized profit with $8,996.14 account balance🔁 Follower 3: $94.52 profit. Even with slight variation, the edge still plays out.

TopStep follower account showing $96.02 profit and $8,960.18 balance🔁 Follower 4: $96.02 profit. Final account brings the 5-account total to $479.60—one strategy, one edge.

Let the Market Go Without You 🧠

Yes, I see it. The market kept going. Had I stayed in longer, I could have doubled or tripled that $479.60. But I could have also given it all back in one dumb move.

That’s the fight no one talks about: you vs. you. The strategy’s important, but the self-control is what gets you paid. Knowing when to be done is a skill in itself. Today, I respected my system. I walked away green.

I know some of you reading this would’ve gone right back in. That’s how $479 turns into -$120 real fast. If you’re going to grow as a trader, learn when to shut it down. Let the market go without you.

The Only Curve That Matters 📉📈

This is our equity curve from March 24 to June 6. One account. No spikes, no collapses—just a clean, steady climb toward $9,000. This is what consistent execution looks like.

Multiply this by five accounts and you’ll understand how we’ve crossed the $44,000 mark in just over two months. The goal isn’t glory—it’s growth. 📊

Cumulative realized P&L equity curve from March 24 to June 6 showing steady trading gains approaching $9,000📈 One clean curve—slow, steady, and rising. No rollercoaster, no chaos. Just edge applied with discipline.
